IT TOOK A CONVOY TO UNITE A COUNTRY - This Week In History
On Valentines Day 2019 the 'United We Roll For Canada Convoy' set out from Red Deer, Alberta to bring a message to politicians in Ottawa. While the organizers, hard-working and Patriot Canadians like Angie Reid, Glen Carrott, Jay Riedel, and Mark Friesen just to name a few, wanted to let Canadians know from Coast to Coast to Coast that the failing energy sector needed to be brought to life, they also had a message of hope to unite a County, a County torn apart by Justin Trudeau's dangerous policies.
After a five-day journey — during which the group was met with a series of supportive rallies in and between towns and cities from Alberta through to Ontario — the United We Roll Convoy for Canada landed in the nation’s capital to promote pipelines and oppose energy and environmental policy, carbon pricing, and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau himself, among other things.
“Everywhere we go there are people on overpasses, side of the road in a show of support for us,” said Glen Carritt, a town councilor in Innisfail, Alberta.
Participants of the convoy were instrumental in what would turn out to be a WAKE-UP for Canadians and started a Grassroots Movement that is still growing today.
In this video, you will hear Mark Friesen speak out not just for himself, but for every single Man, Woman, and Child across this Great and Proud Canada, that we call home.
